The words we use

Boxed, complete or loose

Three terms, used the same way every time, so you know what you are paying for before you pick it up.

01

Boxed

The item comes in its original box. Check the label for what else is included.

02

Complete in box

Item, box and the paperwork and inserts it shipped with. Everything that came with it.

03

Loose

Just the cartridge, disc or console. No box, no manual.

04

Untested

We could not test it, so the label says so.

New games

Current releases, sold by the rating

New releases and accessories for the current consoles. We do not sell games to anyone under the PEGI age rating, as the law requires. The same limit applies to play on our PCs and consoles upstairs.

Sell to us

Got a box of old games?

We buy retro games and consoles. We check UK prices, look at condition and completeness, and make one fair offer. Cash, or store credit, which is worth more. Photo ID needed, and consoles have their serial numbers recorded.

Questions

Games, answered

Are your retro games tested?

Where possible, yes. If we could not test something, it is labelled untested.

What is the difference between Boxed, Complete in box and Loose?

Loose is the item alone. Boxed means it has its original box. Complete in box means item, box and the paperwork that came with it.

Do you check age ratings?

Yes. PEGI ratings are applied at the till. Details are in the age ratings policy.

Can I return a game?

It depends on the item and why. Read the refunds and returns policy, or ask in store.

Will you buy my old consoles?

Usually, yes. We price from UK market prices and recent sales, adjusted for condition and completeness. Consoles have serials recorded, and you need photo ID and to be 18 or over, or have a parent or guardian with you who shows theirs. We may refuse any item. See selling to us.

Is the price on the label negotiable?

No. The price shown is the price, including VAT, and we do not haggle on marked prices. When you sell to us, you get one fair offer and can decline freely.
