Age rules

Who can come up, and when

Simple, and the same for everyone. It keeps the room friendly for kids and grown-ups alike.

Under 12

With an adult

An adult stays with them the whole time. Leave by 20:00.

12 to 15

16 and 17

Welcome alone

No form needed. Leave by 22:00.

Finish times are 20:00 for under-16s and 22:00 for 16 and 17 year olds, unless an event says otherwise. Full detail in the under-18s policy.

House rules

Be decent. Play fair.

  • Respect the room, the kit and each other
  • Fair play. No cheating
  • No food or drink at the PCs
  • PEGI age ratings apply to play on our PCs and consoles
  • Trades between customers are private, but under-18s may not trade high-value cards without a parent present

The point of it

A shop is somewhere you buy things. A room is somewhere you stay. Upstairs is where a box of cards turns into a night out, and strangers turn into the people you play with.

Questions

Before you come up

How do I book a table or a PC?

In store. Ask at the counter and we will sort you out.

Can my child come up on their own?

Under 12s need an adult with them at all times. From 12 to 15 they can come without an adult once a parent consent form is on file in GG Vault, and the form says whether they leave alone or are collected. At 16 and 17 no form is needed.

What time do we have to leave?

Under-16s leave by 20:00 and 16 and 17 year olds by 22:00, unless an event says otherwise. Event details are posted in store.

Can I play any game on the PCs?

PEGI age ratings apply to play on our PCs and consoles. That is a house rule, and a parent cannot give permission to change it. See the age ratings policy.

Can I bring food and drink?

Not at the PCs. Lidded drinks are fine at the card tables. The full list is in the room rules.

What does GG Guild give me upstairs?

Table time and a weekly allowance of free PC time, plus member drops and offers. It is £24 a year. See GG Guild.
